Salam alakum/Peace be upon you all

I hope you all are doing well and in the best of health. Well as you might have noticed the title, thats what i am hoping to keep going to uni. for, but when people ask me what i am majoring in and once i tell them "electrical and computer engineering" i get this weird look after i say that, some times i get comments like "u dont strike me as the kind of girl to go into such a field", or "are you sure this what you want?" , yes its what i want if i didnt want it i wouldnt go for it would i?

now my question is. are we required to have some type of look in us that is suppose to "fit" the major we want to major in? should such comments matter to us? I keep getting discouraged many times about it to, but parents like it and like the fact that i am majoring in engineering, and so do i. of course nothing comes easy i know for a fact it will get more challenging later on, but does that mean I give up? of course not, life in general is a BIG challenge but does that mean we stop living or enjoying life as it comes by? no but we will meet obstacles and challenging steps to take but we continue, so i have my mind and i am going to proof to some people that i am up for the challenges and i will concur them (inshAllah). One request I ask from you is to keep me in your duas to continue this journey...
